Season Overview
Since the dawn of time, communities have told their story through song.
A story we share.
We sing in small groups, we sing in large groups, we sing on the beach, in films and in concert halls.
When we sing, the listener and the singer become partners in an exchange of energy and passion.
We invite you to experience the beauty and power of the human voice and join us in the audience or on stage for our 90th anniversary season.
A tribute to the women of Stalin’s Russia, a marriage of Shakespeare-inspired music and movies, and a performance at the world’s greatest classical music festival will be just a few of the highlights of Sydney Philharmonia Choirs’ 90th anniversary year.
Australia’s largest choral organisation presents its imaginative 2010 season, which will celebrate the enduring power of choral music by exploring both new Australian works and timeless triumphs of the choral repertoire.
